Food Advisory Board

Menus are different between North and Marsh due to size constraints between the kitchens. We want to offer students different items between the two kitchens for more variety.

There are multiple veggie options at the Savory, Grown, & Mix (salad bar) stations. We also have extended the salad bar at North Campus for more variety and more veggie options.

We actually have fish on the menu quite frequently. For example, the main entrée on Fridays is usually fish!

Students can find the menus online, before entering the dining hall, & two different options at each food station. If they look on our Instagram (@vikingdiningssu), we showcase a lot of our specialty menus & events there as well. We follow the school’s heritage months & serve authentic ethnic meals every Wednesday during those months. We also collab with a lot of student groups to bring diverse cuisine & heritage dishes to the dining halls. We have made a lot of progress changing the menus based on student feedback from Instagram, the F.A.B. meeting, & meeting with students & campus leaders throughout the years.

Absolutely! Every month, we try to host a fun event there or highlight the fun promotions Starbucks has to offer. We also post a lot of Starbucks updates and giveaways on our Instagram. Follow us on @vikingdiningssu to stay up to date. You could win some free prizes, too!

Yes, we are. We are always seeing what we can add to the Marketplace for those who need more on-the-go items. That long list of ways to send feedback above applies for our retail spaces, too!

Yes. F.A.B. is always scheduled for the day after our Steak & Shrimp Night event (which is always held on the last Wednesday of each month). So in other words, F.A.B. will typically be the last Thursday of each month. F.A.B. will start at the same time (2pm - 3pm) and will meet in the exact same location (Starbucks). Of course, things may come up as you never know with New England weather. In the event a F.A.B. meeting has to be cancelled, the first place you need to check is our Instagram page - @vikingdiningssu. That will be the fastest way we can communicate that to all of you.
